Hello my darlings, welcome to the glam side of grading.
If you scanned one of my comic labels, you are here to understand the number on that beautiful little book. VeronicaTot Comics uses a seller-assigned raw comic grade inspired by the traditional Overstreet 10-point scale, with every book looked over carefully before it enters the Pink Room spotlight.
The number on the label is my seller-assigned raw grade. It is not a third-party slab grade.
Please review the actual listing photos. The scan is part of the description, darling.
Every book is treated like a collectible, not inventory on an assembly line.
What the label means
VeronicaTot Comics grades raw comics using a traditional comic-collecting scale from 10.0 down to 0.5. These grades are seller-assigned and are meant to help you understand the book’s condition before purchase.
These are not CGC, CBCS, or other third-party certified grades. Please use the grade, the written listing, and the front-and-back scans together before buying.
How Ronnie looks at a book
A comic gets judged as a whole little piece of history: cover appeal, spine, corners, staples, pages, completeness, aging, handling wear, and the overall eye appeal. The grade is where condition, experience, and collector judgment meet.

The VeronicaTot raw comic grade scale
The names below follow the traditional 10-point comic grading language used by Overstreet-style collecting. The descriptions are written in plain Pink Room language so buyers can understand what the number is telling them.
The dream copy. Exceptional eye appeal with only the tiniest manufacturing-level issues, if any. The kind of book that looks like it escaped time untouched.
Top of the scaleNearly flawless and extremely sharp, with only the most subtle defect keeping it from a perfect 10.0.
Elite high gradeA gorgeous high-grade copy with outstanding presentation and only very minor imperfections.
Premium collector copyBeautiful, crisp, and very close to top tier, with a small touch more wear than 9.8.
High gradeA sharp copy with strong eye appeal. Minor handling or production flaws may be present, but nothing that steals the spotlight.
Near MintStill a lovely high-grade book, with a few minor flaws separating it from a stronger Near Mint copy.
High grade with small flawsA very attractive copy with light signs of handling. Still presents beautifully in the bag and board.
Strong collector copyClean and appealing, with a bit more visible wear than the Near Mint range.
Very nice copyA solid, attractive book with noticeable but limited wear. Pretty enough for the shelf, honest enough for the grade.
Very FineAbove-average condition with more visible handling, but still a clean and desirable copy.
Above averageA pleasing mid-to-upper grade book with moderate wear. Still has charm, structure, and collector appeal.
Nice mid-gradeA solid copy with moderate defects, but better eye appeal than a straight Fine.
Mid-grade plusA respectable collector copy with visible wear but good overall presentation. A book with life, history, and plenty of display charm.
FineStill attractive, but wear is easier to see. A bridge between Fine and Very Good/Fine.
Lower Fine rangeA complete, collectible copy with obvious wear, but enough strength and eye appeal to rise above Very Good.
Classic mid-gradeA well-loved book with moderate wear and a little extra appeal above standard Very Good.
Very Good plusA complete collectible copy with clear wear. It has been read, loved, and lived a comic-book life.
Very GoodMore noticeable wear and aging, but still a presentable copy for collectors who appreciate books with history.
Lower Very GoodA lower-grade but collectible copy. Wear is obvious, but the book still has structure and charm.
Affordable reader-collector rangeA heavily handled copy with a touch more appeal than Good. Great for filling a run without demanding royal treasure.
Budget collectibleA worn but collectible book. Expect visible defects, aging, and handling, but still a piece of comic history.
GoodHeavy wear with condition issues that push it below Good, but it may still be desirable depending on title, age, scarcity, or charm.
Lower Good rangeA very worn copy with significant defects, but still more complete or appealing than a straight Fair copy.
Well-lovedA rough copy with major wear or defects. Still useful as a reader, placeholder, or affordable piece of history.
FairThe lowest standard grade on this label set. Expect heavy wear, major defects, or serious condition issues. Please study the scans closely.
